Meet the team
Cap City is full of INCREDIBLE people who make church life happen. We love Jesus, and we serve people … together! Here’s a snapshot of our senior leadership team and the ministry leaders that head up our awesome teams at Cap City.
SENIOR TEAM
LUKE MORENO
Senior Pastor
Luke has been actively involved in church ministry for many years. Before joining the team at Cap City, he studied at the Wales Evangelical School of Theology (now Union School of Theology). He is passionate about discussing life’s big questions and seeing people transformed through encounters with Jesus.
Outside of church, Luke’s passions are coffee and doughnuts, running (because of the doughnuts), discussing philosophy and learning new things.
ABI WILLIAMS
Associate Pastor
Abi has been part of Cap City’s leadership team from the very beginning, and has been leading worship since she was 12 years old. Abi is dedicated to seeing new and young leaders be released into their gifting and seeing people learn about the love of God through their experience with Jesus.
Outside of church, Abi enjoys playing Netball, watching sport and listening to many, many podcasts. “Both Christian and non-Christian, there are some crackers out there! Come and ask me about them.”
SAMMI BRYAN
Discipleship & Connections
Passionate about people, Sammi oversees our people teams on a Sunday and coordinates the Lounge communities throughout the week. An enthusiast by nature, a lover of worship, a drinker of tea, and a consumer of books … Sammi values good conversation and long strolls with friends and her little fluffy dog Molly.
MINISTRY TEAM

Sophie and Hannah head up an awesome team of super fun kids workers who host Cap City Kids every Sunday during our church service. Whether they’re doing the conga out of the main hall to a funky song, or spending time teaching our youngsters about Jesus … they’re vibrant and full of life. It’s no surprise that our kids LOVE to go out to kids church every week!

Jac and Bry have been at Cap City for over 7 years serving on the worship team. They now head up a creative bunch of musicians and techies who help to create an environment of worship on Sundays. With a heart for authenticity and excellence, they honour God with their worship and serve others with their time.

Nishant and Angel have such a heart for people. They love GREATLY and host and honour everyone with genuine joy. They’ve recently taken on the role of Connections team leaders on Sundays, where they welcome and connect with anyone who comes through the doors. They are also our Lounge Pentwyn leaders.
